Urban Farmer

by Adriel S

My friends were shocked to learn I owned a pair of cut-off overalls and I was shocked to learn they didn’t own any! Overalls were huge when I was in high school so I am thrilled the trend has come back around. Plus, there are so many ways to wear them. Dress up, dress down, rolled up, rolled down — all of the permutations, reminds me of sitting in math class with my overalls on. I picked these up from Madewell and I purchased them a size larger simply because I did not want them to feel too tight or too short (I’m not trying to look like a high school-er after all). I opted for a light tank underneath simply because of this sweltering East Coast heat and thick humidity! I paired with a big wooden chunky heel and a Burberry clutch to add a touch of fab.  And, to protect my face from the sun’s rays, I topped it all off with a straw Panama hat, similar to this one from J Crew. But, as I said, there are so many ways to wear these overalls and I cannot wait to try them all!
