Military, corduroy, and yellow – oh my! It seems I may managed to hit at least three of autumn’s amazing trends with just one outfit! A little secret though, the outfit is really about my new shoes. Purchased straight from Nordstrom last week, these are my very first pair of Toms! I really like their business model – I am glad that my purchase ensures a child in an under-developed nation receives a pair of shoes. It is an important reminder that helps me keep perspective. I am so incredibly fortunate and grateful that I get to live in such a great country and that I have the luxury to purchase fine things.
Thus, in keeping with that humility, I opted to pair these shoes with a few trusty favorites from my already existing wardrobe. I purchased this great little beige-speckled tweed jacket from Zara about two years ago. I loved the zippers and it was warm, so important to me. While it is no longer available, this updated metallic blazer is so sexy, I might need to swing by Zara this morning to pick it up. The skirt came from Madewell circa three years ago. And, as you can see, it really is standing the test of time. A corduroy skirt in the same color and similar style is available now at Madewell, but hurry up, it is selling out fast. To pull it all together, I added my Cynthia Rowley animal print handbag to my digs. Another item I purchased a little over two years ago from the always trusty TJ Maxx! Enjoy my loves!
