The Style: I am a bit cold-blooded so I am always excited for jacket weather. This year, I am particularly enjoying the bomber trend and was fortunate to snag this great olive green bomber from Zara. In order to give it a bit more character, I added two Pintrill pins that I picked up from Madewell to the collar. I did not want a jacket that had standard or cliche patches – instead, I wanted something that was unique to me. Thus, the Pintrill pins contain two phrases that represent my general attitude towards life. I paired this great jacket with one of my J Crew tissue turtlenecks, my favorite pair of 1969 flare blue jeans from Gap and my lovely personalized Florian London Mini Vienna bag. I also added a pair of Michael Kors black pumps to give me a bit of height.
The Mood: Two years ago I embarked upon a journey to make my own path. It has been this earnest pursuit of self-discovery and self-improvement that has shaped me into the woman I am today — a woman that is more considerate, more self-aware and more willing to take risks. I have finally realized that I cannot truly experience this great life until I (i) acknowledge that I do not have all of the answers and (ii) make moves on the basis of faith alone. It is because of these realizations that I have been able to confidently break away from the mold and start building my own world.
