The Style
I actually purchased this dress from J.Crew in the spring, but it has carried me all the way through an incredibly warm fall. It is from J.Crew’s Mercantile line and I paired it with my favorite Zara bucket bag and my March Fisher white sandals that I purchased from Nordstrom. As it gets cooler, I can still wear this dress, but I would opt for either navy or black tights and a pair of white boots.
The Mood
Fall has officially arrived on the East Coast and I am enjoying the cooler temperatures and the change of season. While having warm weather through September was perfect, 80 degree days in October just didn’t feel right. This is a great three season dress, as it is just the right weight to transition from spring to summer to fall. Investing in dresses that can be worn across multiple seasons is one of the best investments you can make for your wardrobe. Next time, when you’re out shopping keep in mind how often you will be able to wear a dress you are thinking about purchasing. If it has the ability to seamlessly transition through multiple seasons, it may be a better investment than the dress you will only wear a couple times a year.
