My Mood
My favorite holiday is CHRISTMAS! I love the twinkle lights and the colors and, of course, the music. Particularly, I love the Christmas market and, as usual, this year the DC Christmas Market is back! Now, the Christmas market in DC is only one block long — pretty small actually. It is still a great experience though, walking through the market, listening to music, eating donuts and drinking hot chocolate – the experience has a touch of magic. Well, this year I have decided to take it even one step further. I have planned a day trip to New York. The morning will begin with a quick stop by Century 21 with a friend. Then I will spend the day cruising the Christmas markets all around the NYC. I will start with the Union Square Holiday Market in Union Square, then I’ll do a quick stopover at Grand Central’s Holiday Fair, before making my way up to the Winter Village in Bryant Park, and I will end my journey at the Columbus Circle Holiday Market. Feel free to follow me on Instagram for photos of my adventure!
My style
I love pairing green and red, however, I often worry about looking like a human Christmas tree. Yet, the two colors actually pair really well together if you know how to pull off the look. I recently purchased this amazing wine-colored bell-sleeved shirt from Lettie Gooch (shop small!). The top tends to wrinkle pretty easily, but the sleeves are so fun I do not even care. I opted to pair it with this green mini skirt I purchased ages ago from Ann Taylor (similar style here). I also added my latest find – a green velvet choker (slightly thicker version here) I purchased from Nordstrom to bring a little more of that Christmas green into the look. I then used black Hue tights and black heels (with red bottoms) to pull the whole outfit together. I hope you enjoy!
